Our community guidelines

1. Be respectful, kind and understanding

  • Please treat everyone with respect, kindness, and courtesy. 
  • We understand crime and ASB are emotional and traumatic issues.
  • Please try to offer support and be mindful to avoid fuelling these already distressing situations.
  • It’s okay to disagree, but let’s keep discussions constructive and avoid turning differences of opinion into arguments.
  • We do not allow defamatory, indecent, offensive, profane, discriminatory, misleading, unlawful or threatening comments.
  • Please be mindful that lengthy conversations can be distracting and may become a nuisance to others.

 

2. Keeping the discussion on topic

  • ⁠The group’s focus is on improving safety in Brixton to improve our lives, let’s keep conversations relevant.
  • Feel free to share relevant useful links, photos, and updates about community safety in Brixton. Avoid sharing off-topic, unrelated, or unverified information.
  • Where possible, please encourage each other to bring ideas and solutions to the chat to make our lives better.

 

3. Respect privacy and confidentiality

  • Don’t share personal information, rumours, or accusations.
  • Please don’t share group messages or screenshots without group admin permission.
  • If you share information, be mindful of privacy concerns. 

 

4. No spamming or self-promotion

  • Self-promotion or advertising is not allowed unless it directly supports our goal to make Brixton safer.

We reserve the right to delete comments and remove members who do not respect these community guidelines.
