WE LOVE BRIXTON!
That’s why we set up ACTION on ASB! – a Brixton community campaign taking action against the high levels of anti-social behaviour (ASB) so our streets can be free for everyone to enjoy.
We represent local community groups, residents and businesses who want to do something about rising levels of anti-social behaviour, including things like drug use/dealing, human toileting, loitering, begging, intimidation, trespassing, theft and vandalism.
Our mission
To unite residents, businesses and community organisations to call for the police, council and relevant agencies, to reduce anti-social behaviour in Brixton, making sure the community is involved in what those plans look like.

Nineteen arrests as proactive policing operations target crime in Brixton
Officers have carried out a series of intelligence-led operations in Brixton this week, resulting in 19 arrests, the recovery of suspected drugs and weapons, and enforcement action against two business premises. The operations were conducted in response to community concerns and formed part of ongoing work to disrupt criminality and improve safety in Brixton.

What happens when a place degenerates and gentrifies all at once?
It says a lot about the state of the British state When gail’s, a chain of artisan bakeries, opened a store in Brixton, an always-lively part of London, on October 16th, it did not receive a warm welcome. Posters appeared of a sourdough loaf altered to look like a bomb. A petition against the store attracted 1,326 signatures. Naturally, once opened it was rammed with Brixtonians buying ham-and-cheese croissants for £5.40 ($7.20). Its windows provided a panorama of travellers streaming down the steps into Brixton Underground Station. Just before 4pm on Saturday October 24th it offered a view of a man pinning someone down and stabbing at him repeatedly.

Lambeth's street drinking Public Space Protection Order will expire at the end of October. If it isn't extended, police and enforcement officers will lose important powers to tackle ASB linked to street drinking. If you want these powers to remain in place, please complete the survey!
